Fairly old article which mentions Lieutenant Walter Haut who was the public relations officer at the base (Roswell incident) in 1947 and was the man who issued the original and subsequent press releases after the crash on the orders of the base commander, Colonel William Blanchard.
Excerpt:
"His affidavit also asserted that the “weather balloon” claim was a cover story and that the real object had been recovered by the military and stored in a hangar. He described seeing not just the craft, but alien bodies as well. Haut's affidavit mentions a high-level meeting he attended with base commander Col William Blanchard and the Commander of the Eighth Army Air Force, General Roger Ramey.

Haut states that at this meeting, pieces of wreckage were handed around for participants to touch, with nobody able to identify the material. His testimony matches the key witness, Major Jesse Marcel’s testimony, the intelligence officer who had gone to the ranch to recover the wreckage. He described the metal as being wafer thin but incredibly tough, and that it was as light as balsa wood, but couldn't be cut or burned."

If your eyes follow the movement of the rotating pink dot, you will only see one color, pink.

If you stare at the black + in the center, the moving dot turns to green.

Now, concentrate on the black + in the center of the picture. After a short period of time, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will only see a green dot rotating!
It's amazing how our brain works.
There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don't disappear. This should be proof enough, we don't always see what we think we see.

"SPINNING GIRL"

This optical illusion completely blew me away... The woman rotates CLOCKWISE. If you stare at the reflection of her foot/feet only and if you do it for long enough (I had to do it for about 3-4 minutes), suddenly she is rotating ANTI-CLOCKWISE! It's bizarre!!!

I don't have a fascination with death, this and the counter above were sent to me by a friend but I find them highly interesting and entertaining. For example you'd think you'd be LESS likely to die by falling from ground level, than from a ladder or scaffolding, but (in the States), at least, you'd be wrong!
